The Beaufort County Board of County Commissioners Will Meet to Discuss the County's Business
The Government of Beaufort County meets every month for at least one General Meeting to discuss and act on the county's business with the last scheduled agenda item at 8:00 PM. Beaufort County employs the County Manager Form of Government, which stipulates that the board of county commissioners allow the county manager to set the agenda, and bring issues before them.
This meeting is beginning to swing to the busier time in the commissioner season just before the the budget season with . The update from the tax assessor, Bobby Parker, may be the most important issue of the evening.
The new tax assessments from the 8 year revaluation have just been sent out to payers of ad valorem taxes. The ongong explanation of this process by the tax assessor, the county manager, the county commissioners and this publication will have yet another moment in the spotlight at 6:00 pm on this month's general meeting's agenda.
